iThemba elitsha – new hope

“New hope” is the translation for “iThemba elitsha”. This is what we want to give to the children and teenagers from Kleinmond, a small village in South Africa.

The township of Kleinmond – the quarter of the poorest – has to struggle with many problems: poverty, unemployment and lack of prospects, and this often results in teenage pregnancies, drug abuse and also in violence and gang crime.

Out of their desperation, the children and teenagers often do not care about their education, and therefore might never be able to lead an autonomous life. We want to help them get out of the vicious circle of poverty, and with your support we want to build a center that offers girls and boys a safe environment. There we can offer them a hot meal and much more, which unfortunately is not a given in South Africa. For more information see “Project“.
